Did this year go fast or what. I guess that is actually not a question, more a statement. It has been a pretty good year in the business and things seem to be on track for a good start to 2015. Hope your business has been equally good and that the holidays will be special for you and your families.
One of the inevitabilities as we get older is that time seems to pass more quickly. Perhaps because we are wanting to hold on to the experiences longer. That is true for me in both my personal and business life. And sometimes they are one and the same. I know that after I meet on a listing, I spend much more time with my clients today than I did years ago. Lunch and or dinner is not unusual. It used to be, get the signatures and get on with it. Today, I understand my business so much better than years ago. Today it is about building strong relationships on both a business and personal level. In some ways I see myself like a family doctor would. The reason is simple enough, this client will very likely be responsible for more future business because of these relationships. I have suggested many times that my clients fully make my business and the need for me to be in business to serve their needs.
I understand fully that there are two schools of thought on this because some agents seek ultra high volume and do this business very differently. I do very little solicitation, I more than often see my clients doing that for me. It seems more natural for me. That also holds that I am not competing for the listings and I must say I love that aspect of my business. What I don't love so much is that time just goes too fast for me. Maybe it is because I love every second of it and see it disappear too quickly.
How about you, do you do a lot of marketing promoting yourself or is much of your business now and in the future built in through your relationships that you developed while building your business.
