San Diego Tall Ship Parade
The Tall Ship Parade tomorrow at 11:00 AM is the kick-off for the weekend San Diego Festival of Sail and in years past it has been a very exciting event. Many of these ships will be available for people to board and get a sense of the history that these tall ships represent. I think of Myrl Jeffcoat, ActiveRain member and fellow photographer and her interest in pirates and the weekend will have a number of these in full pirate dress adding even more atmosphere to the event. Here is one of the photos from last year of a man that takes being a pirate seriously. In the environment of the ships, he makes you feel like you have time traveled back to hundreds of years ago. His pirarte speak is also simply amazing.
Sadly for me, The ActiveRain Camp is also tomorrow and I made prior arrangements to attend the Tall Ship Parade. I hope everyone else can attend and fill me in with all the great stuff that I miss.
Perhaps ActiveRain will record the event so those of us that can't attend the webinar can catch up.
