What's So Wonderful About That!
This is a famous line from a Shirley Temple movie, where Shirley Temple said to her rather mean spirited governess, " My duck can do a wonderful trick. My duck can lay an egg. The crotchety old governess replies, "And what 's so wonderful about that? Shirley Temple's response was, " Well....... can you lay egg?
I received an e-mail today from a real estate agent in Maryland that referred a Buyer to me. This is the message.
"Wow after talking with you yesterday I felt like a new agent! Very enjoyable conversation and knowledge to take action on".

Perhaps as fellow Rainers, you can guess what we talked about. She was interviewing me as the agent to handle a referral of a family relocating to San Diego. With passion for our city, I wanted her to feel comfortable that I know the area and the market well and assure her my service is exemplary. I invited her to check out my blog site while I spoke further about blogging on ActiveRain and the many REALTOR friends and acquaintances I have made there. I mentioned a few of my friends in the business in Maryland where she practices real estate. Specifically Margaret Rome She was unfamiliar with her but not any more.
On one of my recent posts about Butterfly Jungle here in San Diego I received many comments and as I was reflecting on those comments and the wonderful people that made them, I thought about photography and how it has changed my life both personally and professionally. Maybe photography it is " my wonderful duck".
Each of us have something special to offer our clients, a passion if you will, that makes us unique in who we are and how we do our business. And while I was certainly not bragging about being a newer photographer, I realized what excited me about being able to share with this agent why my passion for real estate and San Diego is so alive and vibrant. It was the vast amount of knowledge I have gained about the area, the history, the market place and the people that make it up through my photography. My listings are so much more enhanced and they sell quickly.
With that wonderful enhancement to my career , it is more exciting than ever to be in real estate today and to be able to share all this with customers and clients.
