Bringing In the New Year With The Best Real Estate Trilogy | Client, Friend and Neighbor

Happy New Year 2011

I brought in the New Year attending a party with a client, friend and neighbor , all in the same person. If that sounds like religion ( The Trilogy) , well I won't dispute that I believe, :-).

About a week ago I was talking to client, new friend and neighbor about their property that closed just a couple weeks prior. I asked what they were going to do for New Years and ended up getting invited to what was supposed to be a small party for New Years Eve, all formulated as we spoke on the phone.

Being the first to arrive, I delivered a huge chocolate cake all decorated for the New Years Eve party for six. Ok it was large enough for dozens but when it comes to chocolate, who's counting. It seems the day before and yesterday found many others wanting to attend and when I saw all the other food, I was made aware that the party got expanded by 3 or 4 times as many invitees.

Being the REALTOR, I felt like the star attraction for the night and I can say I had the best time I have had in recent years (usually spending New Years Eve watching the Times Square Ball drop) and more likely falling asleep long before the New Year arrives here in Ca.

I did have a sort of mishap. One of the families that came to the party brought their brand new puppy ( a Coton Du Tulear , pronounced coTawn daytwo-Lee are) it wasn't long before your's truly was on the floor playing with the amazing playful creature that tugged at my heartstrings. Several hours of getting so much attention and an old found toy from the party givers dog proved to be tantalizing for the new puppy. So we played some more tug of war with the loaned stuffed animal. The puppy eventually tired of that toy and liked my hands better, chewing on my hands in a playful way. All of a sudden I was seeing red all over his beautiful long white hair. Seems the puppy's sharp teeth had penetrated both of the backs of my hands and I was bleeding quite a bit even though I hadn't felt anything. Quick to get that resolved I was soon covered with 4 band aids and the puppy was getting the washcloth treatment to make his hair white again. Of course that rendered way to much attention and not the type I prefer, LOL.

It all turned out fine and the puppy and I cooled down the excess activity and he became content running back and forth through the legs of all in attendance with just the occasional jumping up on my leg to get my attention.  It was a wonderful way to bring in new year and I am so grateful to have clients, friends and neighbors, all in the same person. Not to mention a fabulous new puppy in the neighborhood.

Well that was my New Years Eve and I haven't had that much fun in a very long time.
