Christmas Lights and Hospitality In My Neighborhood

Christmas Lights and Hospitality In My Neighborhood

Last night was a very special night where I live. Our neighborhood sponsored a Holiday Magic Open House that was attended by hundreds of neighbors and people from around San Diego. The Christmas Light Displays were terrific. The flow of cars didn't cease for hours as there was not a parking spot available within a reasonable distance in any direction.

The treats supplied by the individual neighbors consisted of Egg Nog, Hot Chocolate, Hot Cider, Coffer, Cookies , Cupcakes, Banana Nut Bread and even a homemade Chili. One of the neighbors said she had easily exceeded her budget of a grand for food. Everyone seemed satisfied as the food and beverages were plentiful even as this has become quite a large annual event. One of the homes that belongs to my neighbor and good friends was featured on the LA news and was also presented on Jimmy Kimmel live.

Our local Fire Chief arrived delivering Santa in a fire truck to the party. It was such a wonderful and special event.
