Finally, We Are Now Connected.....
You are looking at the tip of the 130 foot Pylon supporting the 550 foot span of the San Diego Suspension Pedestrian Walking Bridge.
The new Bridge connecting the San Diego Convention center and Petco park will have its first trial on Padres Opening day this Tuesday, April 5th. It one of the longest suspension pedestrian bridges in the world and officially becomes a landmark for San Diego this week.
As I walked up the many steps, I opted to forgo the beautiful steel and glass elevators on either side. While this was way over budget at 26.8 million, observing the detail in it shiny steel parts looked like a bargain to me.
This nautically themed bridge provides some awesome views of Harbor Drive and San Diego Downtown
