Life is Like a Butterfly.....
I haven't seen Butterflies here in San Diego like this, at least in my back yard before. The shape and colors look like a butterfly that might have come from Butterfly Jungle at Safari Park. This past month they have been on display and perhaps this one migrated the six miles south to land here near where the new Hummingbird feeders are located.
This past week while trying to capture photographs of the Hummingbirds which did find my new feeders, this rather large butterfly appeared and since I was all set up with the camera on the tripod, I was able to capture the first butterfly I have seen here. I think that life is very much like a butterfly, it is precious, delicate, fast moving and can disappear in a blink of an eye.
I checked this butterfly out on the Internet and the closest thing I could find like it was from Indonesia, which would make it very doubtful he would be found here unless he just happened to escape from our Butterfly Jungle.
Wherever he is from I was pleased to be able to capture this "Elusive Butterfly" and share it with you.
