A Good Lens Makes for a Good Photo
Continuing my efforts with the 400mm lens, experimenting to see what settings work best, this plane few over while I was at Balboa Park shooting some of the architectural building details and I was ready, except that I had to tip the tripod and the lens because there was no time for ajustment. I was balancing the tripod on one leg.
What is amazing is that this photo is as clear as it is and shows very little sign of movement of the lens. I held my breath and it looked ok after the shot but seeing it on the computer I was more than pleased with the clarity. This shot was just pure dumb luck.
I intend to take a day off soon and visit the San Diego Safari Park again in hopes of capturing some wonderful new faces there. With the powerful new lens, I fully expect to capture some new photos with more detail to share here in the Rain.
