The Getty Museum, An Awesome Museum Compound in the Hills of the Santa Monica Mountains.
I was quite impressed with several things about this marvelous museum center. One was the fact that there is no charge for going to the museum itself but you do you pay a small fee to park in the garage parking.

The second thing I was impressed with even before I got to the museum itself was the tram system and it's beautiful design to get to the top of the hill where the museum looks out over Santa Monica and the Wilshire corridor.

The Getty Center was opend in 1997 . Architect Richard Meier created a true masterpiece in this Moderism compound. I have been impressed with many things here in my home state of California, but I would have to say, this is probably the most impressive and well thought out man made entity of it's kind I have ever seen.

And when you arrive, you will be taken by the massive size, and the attention to detail of the outstanding overall design. The grounds and the relaxed atmosphere throughout is remarkable and abundant in art treasures both in the buildings and outside.
