The Port Of San Diego Does So Much More Than Manage the Public Coastal Land.
If you are fortunate enough to live in San Diego or have been here as a visitor , you no doubt will have experienced some of the marvelous aspects of San Diego that are managed and directed by the Port of San Diego.

As a citizen of the City of San Diego, I often read of the arguments about expanding the airport and of the personages that have been appointed from time to time to the Port Commission. But somehow I must be just missing all press about the good things they have accomplished. I went on their web site and the different things they are accomplishing , including the many art works is just astounding. And one doesn't have to look very far at the wonderful improvements at the airport, the frequent Cruise lines that come in and the entire coastal region.
Now I have to tell you, if you have ever seen the way the coastal areas have been improved to accommodate our citizens and tourists alike, one would be scratching there head in utter amazement at the beauty that has been provided and how little fanfare there is about it.
This past weekend I had a few hours to get back downtown and everywhere I looked I saw new art works, beautiful landscaping enhancements, visible good care of the coastal area and yet I don't hear people saying too many thanks for what has been provided us.
So I am taking this opportunity to do just that. Thank You San Diego and Thank You to the Port Commission for the great care and beautiful enhancements that you are providing. Your efforts make me especially proud to be a San Diegan.
Please enjoy some of the wonderful and pleasing art objects that are found through the downtown coastal areas provided by the Port of San Diego.
