When You Got It, Flaunt it!
No, This is not a Merry Mummer headdress. It is a Flamingo with all it's feathers raised at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It could be a matting dance but all I know is that these birds were sounding a bit threatened and I was close by and the camera was ready. I walked right into what appeared to be a duet of two of these birds and the feathers were all raised like they were heading to a Cotillion Ball.
