Pass the iPad Please!
This is exactly what you can expect when you couple technology with a great dining out experience. Stacked, a new concept in restaurants where the menus are on the iPad and the orders are taken by submitting it on the iPad located at each table. When you are ready to order, you systematically order what you want and voila!, like magic, out it comes from the Kitchen right to your table. The staff insure you have a fun and wonderful dining experience. If you want separate checks, each of you can place your own orders or you can combine if one person is picking up the tab.
When you are ready to pay the bill, simply return to the iPad and see the check amount for the items you ordered, add on a tip for the servers, click submit and you can either have a printed receipt at your table , or have the receipt e-mailed. Great concept and the food is delicious and very affordable.
Currently there are two Stacked Restaurants , one in San Diego at the Fashion Valley Mall and the other in Torrence. Another new Stacked restaurant will open soon in Cherritos, Ca.
This concept of using technology to bring the dining-out experience into the 21st century will most certainly be spreading throughout the US. But even more than that, using the iPad at the restaurant in a fun and intuitive way, also provides the consumer with what Steve Jobs said was one of his seven secrets to success. Provide the consumer with an insanely great experience. And Stacked did just that. Great quality prepared meals at remarkably low prices and technology for a "GREAT" experience.
